Survey reveals talking isn’t the only way to settle disagreements!

Fort Lauderdale, FL (July 18, 2009) - Did you know that men between the ages of 36 and 50 spend more time in the doghouse than women in the same age range?  According to Heidi Richards Mooney, owner of Eden Florist & Gift Baskets in Fort Lauderdale, (who in 2002 conducted a survey of more than 1,000 men and women) say,  “men are in the doghouse an average of four to six times a year, while women claim to be in the doghouse less often (once a year).  More than 30% of the men surveyed said that giving flowers or some other gift to say “I’m Sorry” is how they usually get out of the doghouse.  Other ways men say they apologize is to beg forgiveness or drop rose petals creating a path leading to a gift of jewelry or lingerie or a bubble bath and romantic candlelight dinner eventually ending in great sex.  Women, on the other hand, say that talking it out is the best way to resolve their differences.  And both men and women agree that cooking and great sex were the most appealing ways to “get out of the doghouse.”
