MEDIA RELEASE - Good
Neighbor Day
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GOOD
NEIGHBOR DAY@
Eden Florist
Wednesday, September 7, 2005
will be the day one person can bring happiness to 11 other people.
How? By giving them a rose,
of course!! And multiply that by hundreds of folks and thousands can feel the
joy.
It all started in September, 1994, by Brook Jacobs, a florist in Jackson,
Mississippi. He designated September 26,
1994, as GOOD NEIGHBOR DAY giving away dozens of roses to the local residents.
The Catch!!! They could keep
one rose and give away the other 11 to make new friends.
Since that day the idea has spread across the country and Canada.
The date was changed to September 1, when roses are expected to be more
plentiful.
Heidi Richards and the Staff of Eden Florist &
Gift Baskets and My Sister's Closet are participating in this year=s event. This
year by being a Good Neighbor and donating a professional outfit to AMy Sister's
Closet
(outfits must be clean, pressed and on hangers) many folks will receive a free
dozen roses.
Donate
